I have the Arlo Ultra with 5 cameras and the hub. I have had this system for just over a year and all have a charging cable to keep them charged at all times. I now have 2 of the cameras that will not charge at all with the power cables but can charge the batteries with the inside charging base. I have change cables and batteries around from camera to camera and still no luck on them charging. What happens is when I hook them up to the charging cables they actually drain the battery with in 2 days even when the app shows them charging. Arlo had made every excuse possible and when I talk to them by emails I get somebody different every time and their email states that it will be sent to the last person I talked to. This has not happen yet. The 1st person and second was really great and they asked me for my shipping address to send me 2 new cameras. I give to them and got a different person and all went down hill after that. I have never had such bad luck on a $1,100 system. Has anybody else had the same problem with the Ultra system or support.

To speculate, the warranty has likely run out and the supervisor has picked up on this, hence the silent treatment.

You can confirm the warranty status by using the mobile app, go into the settings page and then support and select your devices to see your warranty status at the bottom.

If you were given a case number you could private message an arlo moderator on the forum to chase up the issue.

Does it charge when using the normal USB charger?

This is what mine are doing. I bought the outdoor magnetic plugs and chargers and they were working fine and then the fully charged batteries on 2 of the Ultra Cameras went dead even when the indicator showed charging. I bought new batteries and chargers and changed them around with in the  5 cameras. I was told by Arlo it was my batteries, my wifi which the cameras do not connect to my home wifi but to the Arlo Hub which connects to my wifi. Arlo gave me every untrue reason except the cameras are defective.

Arlo hubs do not connect to your WiFi - they use an Ethernet cable. The hub then provides a dedicated WiFi connection to the cameras which has nothing to do with your WiFi. You can see the hub's WiFi SSID by using your phone to browse nearby signals (I see ARLO_VMB_blahblahblah). This is strictly for the cameras - nothing else has access.

Have you cleaned the connectors on both the chargers as well as the cameras?

Which rules out the battery.

That leaves us with either a camera issue or a solar panel issue.

If you have an Arlo charger that uses the magnetic cable (like the panel), then it would be useful to see if that charges the camera.

That is what I meant , Arlo was telling me that the router wifi was on wrong band but I guess they think everybody is stupid but them.

First of all thanks for your help....I have three cameras set up and the other two work fine....tried interchanging them ....  i.e.   solar panels, batteries and they work fine on the other cameras.......app shows charging on other cameras but not on the one with the problem....thats why I feel it's a internal camera issue.....might need to buy new camera...
