I am interesting in replacing our current Arlo cameras with the Ultra but would want CVR available. To my understanding, in order to continuously record video, the camera has to be hooked up to a power supply, not the regular battery. Would a solar panel in direct sunlight work or do I need to have an electrician come out and have a plug installed?

The solar panels are just trickle chargers so CVR wouldn't be available. You need AC power.
