1yr Arlo Smart plan on new ULTRA (original Ultra 1) kit?

I found a brand new Arlo Ultra (older original model, not the 2) with 2 cams for clearance sale new and sealed at a local big box store.  It says on the box "1 YEAR ARLO SMART" included.  Since this is a new unregistered kit will I still get the 1 year plan on it?  

With 1yr free the older ULTRA 1 would be a good deal for the price it is at (under $400).  If no free 1 year not so much.
