can the arlo camera be used stand alone for remote viewing only. I don't need recording capabilities, only viewing. I have wireless internet

You never listed what Arlo camera you are refering to but since you are in the Ultra 2 forum it need to connected directly to the Smart HUB. You can still do live viewing and local Hub storage without a subscription though it adds other options. The New Pro4 and Essential cameras can connect directly to your wifi.
