arlo ultra 2 upgraded my cable and internet. We no longer have a router.

My cable company upgraded my cable and internet.  We no longer have a router.  The router is built into the cable box.  So how do i set up my system with out a router?  I connected my base station with a ethernet to usb adapter to my cable box but the arlo app cannot find the base station.  Do i still need to connect a router to the cable box then to the base station for it to work?

Does your cable box not have ethernet ports ?  I have used my hub both ways, plugging direct to the ethernet on the modem and with a router plugged to the modem with the hub plugged into the router.

If there are NO ethernet ports on your new setup, then you prob have to get a wifi extender with a port. ( not costly )

Base would than plug into the extender ethernet port.

Move the extender to a place that you put the base unit for best coverage of home.
