Why can I not buy wired products???

I am soo fed up with all the different Arlo Wifi issues! Its check this and that and try rebooting, resyncing, checking signal strength, DHCP trouble and whatnot.  Why can I not buy wired products??? Why is there no attempt to make reliable products?

Can you provide more detail regarding the symptom you are experiencing?

Cameras go randomly offline, they are perhaps online 80% of the time, but unreliable. They may miss recording events, and sometimes it is not possible to connect with them. More than likely Arlo cameras have connectivity issues that they would not have if connected with an ethernet cable. There are all kinds of troubleshooting tips, but I do not want to troubleshoot -  I want things to be reliable in the first place. Since I need to power my cameras anyway, why not do this with power over ethernet, as it would make connectivity reliable?

When did these symptoms occur, I see your devices were onboarded in 2017.

Connectivity has always been an issue with my Arlo cameras. I also have recently installed cameras, various models. All of them have had connectivity issues from day one, and more so with cameras that are further away from the router. Some cameras have more relevant view than others, and I would prefer to have those reliably connected using an ethernet wire.

It's not clear whether you wanting help getting the connectivity fixed, or making a product suggestion.  I'm guessing it is a suggestion. 

I agree that it would be great for Arlo to add some PoE cameras to their lineup.  They could also add a power injector accessory for folks who do not have a PoE switch.

If you are using cameras that can connect to home wifi, then deploying a good mesh wifi system can improve connectivity.  It would be great if Arlo added the ability for cameras to send local recordings to a smarthub when they were connected to home wifi.

PoE would solve not only connectivity issues, but also power issues. I have had some cameras powered to avoid the periodic battery recharging, as well as replacing worn batteries. This meant though that I had to organise an electricity installation out at the camera position (whereas PoE delivers power through the network cable) I also have used the Arlo solar cell, but it doesn't have a quality glass surface, so the cell died after 3 years (the plastic surface deteriorated from UV, and cracked)

So I am proposing at least one PoE camera to be added to the Arlo product line.

Sure, if you have a PoE switch.  Most people don't - which is why I suggested the power injector accessory.  Though of course there are third-party ones that could be used.  Ideally you'd install the injector at the switch.

I agree it would be a nice addition to the set of cameras.
