I’ve read the ‘resolved’ posts on solutions to the slow charge times for the arlo cameras, but it doesn’t sound like flipping the wall plug is really endorsed from a safety perspective and isn’t possible in some countries that have non-reversible plugs. My batteries take at least a day to charge, and the connection is often hard to initiate and show up on the app as ‘charging’. Are there any suggestions, other than flipping the plug, to fix this issue?

I don't think flipping the plug would be possible with a New Zealand outlet.
I guess trying a different outlet is a possibility, though using a different charger or magnetic cable might be a more useful test.
