Hi,
I'm looking to see if a VMA 5600C-100NAS Cable can be attached to a VMA 4600 Panel to support the newer cameras, thanks

Not something I've tried, but Arlo says the VMA4600 isn't compatible.

if its a detachable cable and the same fitting, I’d be hopeful. I have 4 of the original cameras and am impacted by the EOL on the Pro’s so I’d like to see if I can salvage some of my original investment.

The various panels aren't interchangeable. The oldest panels for the Pro and Pro 2 cameras have removable cables while none of the newer ones do. I suspect that was due to possible water infiltration at the panel connection as well as those connectors being a PITA to seat properly.
You may be able to cut and patch in a magnetic connector if you can deal with thin wires and being able to discern what the various wires are for. However, that doesn't address the possibility of the panel itself not being compatible.

so then, an alternative question then is with the EOL on the Pro, and Arlo no longer supporting 7 day recording, is al thats required a subscription to the monthly plan to resolve the EOL dilemma? A much easier solution that mothballing 5 cameras and associated accessories. Thanks

Arlo responded to the brouhaha around the issue of the free 7 day plan and reinstated it. Your current system will work as before with any limitations set forth in the document linked above. You can subscribe to a paid plan if that gives you anything you desire but it's not needed.
