I’ve owned the Ultra 2 for several years. Recently found a very good deal on the Pro 5 2K (less than 1/2 the cost of the Ultra 2).
-seems not much difference in video quality, field of view, and the ability to connect directly to WiFi.
-but what really is concerning is the lack of “Dual Motion Detectors” in the Pro 5 2K (the Ultra 2 has these, but the Pro only has one).
Does this mean the Pros don’t pickup movement as well as the Ultras? If so, had “bad”/worse? Are there any studies available on the movement sensors between the two?
Thanks

I believe they went with two sensors in the Ultra because they needed the sensors to cover its full horizontal field of view. The Ultra has the largest field of view of any Arlo camera - 180 degrees vs 160 degrees for the Pro 5.
Both cameras have the same motion range (about 25 feet/ 7 meters). I haven't seen much difference in how well they detect motion myself.
