Ultra 2 recording when set to off

Under device rules (at home) I have switched the motion detection to "off" on the camera. Nevertheless, it registers movements and records.

Did I overlook anything else, is the problem known and/or how can I switch it off reliably?

Try deleting the camera rule from the mode.
