Ultra 2 ball removal

I have the latest version on the Ultra 2 and it has a ball mount for the anti-theft bracket. I want to remove the ball, but it does not want to unscrew. Is there an allen wrench or something that needs to used to loosen it. There is a white rubber plug on the back of the ball, but I can't see inside of it. I don't want to just use a lot of force to unscrew it and have it break. I did an internet search and it seems that this latest version is different than some other Ultra 2's that I have seen

I figured it out. Inside the housing there is a nut that holds the ball on. It looks like I will have to mod this somehow to accept a screw to mount to my tripod.
