Ultra 2 (VMC5040) won't connect to hub on first setup

Hey. Can't even do the initial set up on these things - connecting two ultra 2-s with smarthub. Either getting stuck on this screen:
or on the one where I need to "Select camera to claim". Both times it loads for a few minutes and then does nothing. Syncing and factory resets wont help. What should I try next?

Managed to get to the second page again, but still stuck there also:
Both these arrow buttons wont do anything.

Have you tried onboarding with both the app and a PC browser (my.arlo.com)?
