Does anyone have some tips on changing systems out ? And since the new 4k systems seem to require paying for the service, if I want to view videos in 4k, I thought I might as well have more than 5 cameras and possibly add some of the old cameras to the system at the $3 per camera charge as well. Any tips on anything would help, thanks !

The Ultra comes with a free 1 year trial for smart Premier for 2K. (not sure why only that in trial). For a 4K elite sub it is 15.00 for up to five and beyond that it is 50% per individual cam on 4k if you want. You older cams will work with the hub and keep their 7 day storage unless you want smart for them . You can read the plans here.

dcfox1,
Minor clarification, Ultra 2 comes with a 3 month subscription (Elite). The original Arlo Ultra system came with a 1 year premier trial.
