Questions before purchasing camera

I am interested in buying one Ultra 2 camera. Do i need to buy the base station separately?  If so, what is the cost?

You will need a base with the Ultra - ideally either a VMB4540 or a VMB5000.  Not sure what the VMB5000 lists for, but the VMB4540 should be around $100 USD.

You wouldn't need a base with the Pro 4.
