Camera is exterior located. The three plug-in charge cameras I have are OK but I always have problems with the three cameras that have the magnetic attachment charging system. Is this a common problem?

Based of forum feedback, it happens sometimes but is not common.  Personally I use an stand-alone charging station and have a couple spare batteries.  So I just swap batteries when mine run low.

Some things to look at:

Make sure the connections on both the charger and the camera are clean and not corroded.  (The three connection points are right below the magnet).  The cable connections are spring-loaded, so make sure they still move freely.  On the camera, sometimes the metal pads for one of the connections becomes detached, and that will interfere with the power.

If you open the housing, you can clean the connection points on the housing as well.  The camera body has three spring connectors - one for each lead.  So make sure those look ok.

If you remove the battery, you will see four connection points on the battery, and four spring connectors on the housing.  You can check that they are clean/uncorroded as well.

Is problem that they stop recording when fully charged? We have to unplug them, a huge inconvenience, when they reach 100% or they quit detecting any motion or audio triggers. Then plug back in when they get below 20%, so we can never leave home for more than a day.

@Bluffpoint says in their case it is a charging issue, and not about recording.
