The camera can be how far from the hub? (Arlo ultra 2)

The hub work with wifi or required hard connection?

Does the arlo go 2 requires a hub?

Condition requires for the arlo go 2 store info in the cloud?

That depends on how far the wifi will reach.  If your router is close to spot where the base station will be, then try testing with your phone at the camera location.  Turn off mobile data, and use something like the Ookla speedtest app.  Measure both upload and download speed (upload is actually more important for this).

Note if you have a mesh or use extenders, you'd want to turn those elements off during the test.

It requires 100 mbit ("fast") ethernet.

No.  It can directly connect to your home wifi, and/or mobile data (which requires a sim card in the camera).

It needs an Arlo Secure subscription for cloud storage.

In addition, you'd need a mobile data plan if you want to connect the camera directly to your mobile service provider.

Thank you for your fast answer

I am at my cottage where there is no 5G  no 4G or LTE ,no cellular phone working etc

I have internet via XPLORE satellite (slow) and my router does not go past 5 feet outside the cottage

Water from the mountain, and electricity from solars panels.  What you call REAL LIFE.

I tell my children 30C outside but feel 22 C in the lake

My understanding is :

cameras talks to the hub via ?

Pictures are stored on the hub.

I can talk to the hub via internet with my Apple Ipad.

Do the cameras need a signal from my internet (router) to talk to the hub?

I want to hide the cameras far in the bush so they cannot be seen and stolen easily.

What do you propose?

Note that this is a user-to-user forum, and I do not work for Arlo.

Arlo's solution needs an internet connection with at least 1-3 megabits upload spped per camera (depending on the camera model).  It sounds like you don't have that and can't get it.  If I am correct, then Arlo products aren't designed for you.

There are other types of systems that do not require internet connections - look for onvif systems if you are interested in researching them.
