I cannot get the notification badge on my iPhone for this app to clear after watching, and then deleting the videos and going through all the settings to make sure that I have no notifications nothing new is popped up the badge continues to say I have two new things. The only way I can get it to go away, is to uninstall the app/delete it and then reinstall it and start fresh until I get more notifications and then they won’t go away. How do I fix this? How do I clear my notifications?

Can you please provide what app version you are on the iOS device? Does it show the correct number on the badge counter when it is showing it?

Yes it does show the right number. 17.3.1 is the ISO and I just updated the app to the new look. I had to delete the app from my phone 2 times to clear the badge notifications. This 3rd time I made sure to watch every clip 2 times start to finish before deleting it and check every setting and it then was gone. If I just looked at the thumbnail and then deleted it the notification would stay no matter how many other new ones came up.

Just an update - when I came home and watched the video and then deleted it after… notification badge still says 1… this is incredibly annoying

When deleting the app are you doing it from the Home Screen where it says remove app? If so can you try deleting it fully from the library, under the library it will say delete instead of remove.

I do it from the Home Screen but I pick delete it over remove. So it’s gone and then I have to redownload/install again.

In the Arlo app can you click the silhouette in the top left hand side and then about and let me know the app version.

**update**
sorry it took me a min to get back, the fix I found was to click the camera and start watching live. Once it’s live then take a manual picture and that will then clear the notification badge off my screen and I can delete all the videos and pic. That has worked every time I’ve tried it.

Running new version, 4.14.5. Now after deleting feeds, my iPhone 14 Pro still says I have new feeds. Same thing with my iPad Air M2.

Can you provide the steps to replicate this symptom? Are you just selecting the feeds tab or manually deleting a recorded video in the feed section?
Which version of iOS are you running on your phone and iPad?

Hi Shayne, ok, running 17.5.1 on both my iPad Air and iPhone 14 Pro. If I delete a feed on either one, it deletes. But, if I look at my other device, it still shows on my icon that I have a feed, even though they are gone. I’ve deleted the Arlo Secure app on both units, then re-installed the app to both units. It still reacts the same. Seems I’ve only seen this since I upgraded to the new app 4.14.5

It sounds like you are just talking about the badge counter - is that the case???

The device badge counters need to be refreshed per device. If you view the feed on one device, it will not reset the feed to zero on the other, this is by design.

I understand that. So, even if I refresh the app, the badge counter still shows something. Before this update, if I refreshed the feed tab, it would go away. Now it goes nowhere

Thanks. Just so I'm understanding correctly, When you look at your phone you see x amount of recordings on the red badge counter > You open the app > Select feed and 0 out the badge counter but the badge counter returns with the same feed count in red on the phone's Home Screen for the Arlo app?

Yes and no. So I clear feeds from my iPhone and all goes away. But, when I open my iPad, the red number of feeds shows up on the icon, but there is nothing in the feeds section. The same thing would happen if I had opened iPad first. If would delete from iPad but not on the iPhone.
Here’s a new one. Since I was driving today, my wife saw all 12 of the feeds from this morning. She did not delete so I could also see them. Open my iPhone and delete all feeds successfully. Close app and icon still shows all those feeds and won’t go away. Same red counter on my iPad.
i think something with the counter changed last week with this new upgrade!

Are you manually deleting the recordings or just entering and exiting the Feed tab/section (making the red feed numbers go away). Sorry for the questions, I want to make sure I get this resolved as soon as possible for you and this info helps myself and the development team if I have to escalate this.

I have seen several discussions on this topic but I have run into this as I tried to use the same account on my iPhone and iPad to monitor my cameras. I now have 6 "unread" items on the Feed and as a Badge for my app on my iPhone home screen. I have removed the account from my iPad and created a 2nd "viewer" account there so that is now working as I want it. However, I cannot clear the feed, nor the Badge on the app icon. I have my notifications setup now so that badge tells me if something is going on. How can I clear it?

I have 4 Essentials cameras and 3 door bell cameras. I use the Arlo secure app on both my iPhone and iPad.
The problem is that the red Alert bubble will not clear from the App icon or the Feed icon within the app. It is stuck on 3 and I have reviewed the alerts on both devices multiple times.
This is an application bug in my opinion.

I’ve tried deleting the app and reinstalling and the 4 notifications showing on the app icon still appear. I don’t even leave unread emails so this is driving me nuts as it’s on my Home Screen 😂
