I have not seen any claims on the advantage of dual motion sensors. I would expect Arlo added a second for a reason? Better coverage, better distance? Reliability?

Arlo hasn't said, but a second detector wouldn't increase the distance. Plus the spec'd range for the Ultra cameras is similar to the other Arlo cameras that only have one sensor.
The Ultras have the widest field of view, so (speculating) they might have needed a second sensor to cover it.
