I'm <still> attempting to generate a discussion and get a response re accessing local storage via Arlo Web Portal. This is the subject line in previous post: View local storage in web browser - any update...

Posts keep getting deleted. Anyone have any idea how to stop Arlo from doing this.

Arlo people - what's your problem here?

Thanks guys for responding here - I see that posts are showing now on the original thread. I suspect it was related to me using special characters in the text - forward slashes, inverted comma's..  proper English with punctuation in other words. 😑 Removed those and Lo.....

No, that thread is still here.

You can keep an eye on it by clicking on your profile in the upper right of the forum page - the profile includes a list of your posts.

I sure hope they are not removing posts. I will make it my mission to ensure every review site hears about it. Im extremely angry I have a security camera system thats essentially useless. Only thing worse is the complete lack of support or acknowledgement fro Arlo.

Cheers Stephen but.....

I have attempted to respond to the last post multiple times.  My response(s) simply disappear. I have also attempted to repost (cutnpaste) the original - it's getting a heading of "Marked as spam. If you believe this is an error, submit an abuse report."

Are you trying to create multiple threads on the same topic?

The moderators don’t look kindly on double posting. One thread is sufficient although it gets drowned out by the noise of other new threads.

There are forum rules for posting so have a read to start with.

They will also merge your thread to another thread that relates to the same issue so they can update everyone having the same issues without searching for similar threads each time. ( No they don’t do it to hide an issue although it can look that way.)

If your after an answer from arlo you should private message one of the arlo moderators who may need to seek clarification from the arlo web development team so patience is recommended.

Hi Danny - no - I attempted to Reply to your comment on the original thread. My Reply didn't appear so I tried again - to post a reply, and then twice more. I've been saving the attempts as screenshots  in case "someone" denies I've tried to post these Replies............  I can <obviously> create another post or discussion (e.g. this one) so I can only assume someone is blocking me on this.

Mods will sometimes remove posts (as is Arlo's right under US law), but I think it is more likely that something in your reply triggered the automatic spam filter.  I think they are supposed to review that periodically and release posts that aren't spam.  But there are only two of them, and weekend coverage is less than during the work week.

FWIW, I just replied on the original thread, so replies have not been blocked on it.

If you’re unsure if a post has uploaded, the forum site gives you an auto save feature that will save a draft of the posts in your profile.

The draft gets updated as you type in the text. Very handy feature for recovering your text at any time.

The profile also gives you your active device IDs when your viewing the web site. Another handy feature.
