Smart Notifications do not apply to Chime?

I have several cameras and use the Smart notifications to only alert on people and cars - especially during the night where we have cats and rabbits triggering them. 

 

This works well for push notifications to my phone etc, but the chime seems to play sound on animals or any motion detection - it seems that Chime ignores smart notification settings. 

 

Is there anyway to fix this?

Smart alert toggles will only impact push notifications. Recordings and configurations made using custom modes will still function normally.
