My backyard usually doesn't have any people around and getting a notification that a person is in your backyard will make anyone jump out of fear.

This could be due to the alert being mislabeled. Is there anything in your backyard within the cameras field of view that vaguely resembles a person?

A tree? My Shih Tzu? Other than that, there is absolutely nothing else in my backyard within the camera position.

You could try adjusting the angle of the camera or creating activity zones to eliminate any objects in the field of view that could be causing the false triggers. This may take a little trial and error until you get the desired results.
