Does anyone know how to turn off the Arlo Smart feature?

Does anyone know how to turn off the Arlo Smart feature? I know how to turn arlo off but I’m talking about the smart feature.

Go to SETTINGS.... under MANAGE ARLO SMART, pick camera and then ">" to allow toggle OFF the alerts

I am having the opposite problem, in that I can't find where to turn on the Arlo Smart feature.  I have actually cancelled my Premier membership and gone back to Basic, then re-subscribed to Premier, but still I can't find anywhere to turn the feature on or off.  I have been on to Chat with Arlo, and they have suggested deleting the App and re-installing it, and that hasn't worked either.  Can anybody help?
