@jguerdat yes I am finding about 5 seconds as well.
Is there a way to make security lights ignore a car like a camera can? I'm wondering why my lights at 60 motion sens is detecting every car over my cam at 100. They are 4ft apart facing driveway. Light is directed more straight down driveway while cam is angled. BUT! the cam in it's first location was angled much more drastically AWAY from down the driveway, you could see end of driveway and road on VERY EDGE of frame. Then when it was at a more drastic angle the cam picked up EVERY single car. Now not a single one. Yea I dont want it too and will use rules to do so but dont have it set to ignore cars now, not picking any up. Just seems this one cam is not working well...

Why not have the camera trigger the lights in the camera modes and rules? That way the light position can be whatever you want with the camera causing to turn on.

You mean like lights ONLY come on when camera is triggered?
Unifi UAP 3 piece wifi extending/enhancing system arriving tomm.
The lights I do have positioned exactly where I want them. One is on porch lighting up entry way with front door cam. Other two are out on corner of house (one on each side of corner 3-4ft from corner) near Driveway cam. All three of these devices are pointed at my truck/trailer but cam records entire driveway, can see street and more as we know it has wide frame. The lights both point right at tool area so I dont really want to reposition but now after power cycle those to lights are coming on with every SINGLE car that drives by. Batt are like 40% already...

haha lol! Can you tell me are the light motion sensors the same hardware and or function the same as the cams? I'm just wondering if I placed one light in a little tree on other side of trailler(8-10ft) and pointed directly at trailer it would still have edge of frame catching street. But thats if the light motion sens is like cams. I guess one needs to have lights pointing back to property away from street lol!
Surely many people here have lights mounted on homes pointing out to property? This seems rather trivial lights would trigger cars EVERY TIME 65-100ft away. I have measured, it takes a full 50ft power cord plus two 20ft to get my electric leaf blower to end of driveway. Even light motion sens of 32 was still catching cars...
Or maybe use non arlo motion light to light up truck/trailer area and use arlo lights elsewhere...

I can't say if the detectors are the same between the cameras and lights but surely are similar. The big issue is that cars and trucks are much larger IR sources than people. The system is designed around person detection so positioning is potentially critical. Have you read the FAQ here on camera positioning? It would be similar for the lights, too.
