When I set up my security lights, it used the bluetooth connection to get them all online and synced. Now that I'm connected to the wifi and everything is set up, does the bluetooth need to stay on in order to get my notifications or for any other reason? Thanks for your help. Surprising, I cannot find any info about whether it's okay or not to turn off the bluetooth on my phone once the set-up is done.

The Arlo security light doesn't need your phone to have bluetooth on at any stage. It uses a form of bluetooth to communicate between the lights and the bridge. The bridge connects to the internet via wifi.
You can turn your phone's bluetooth off if you like
