Arlo combined with flood lights would be nice

Does the flood light record video or just notifies of movement

The light does not record video itself but a rule can be set so that when it detects movement it should turn on and have any camera in the system start recording as well.

The lights also have notifications just like the cameras do.

I will wait for a All-in-one solution (camera + flood light) ... I bet that is next to come out ... maybe after Arlo Pro 3?

Ring has that product already. I'm also asking myself if I should just switch. Especially since the arlo flood lights require an extra hub and don't work with the existing hub. I'm trying to cut down the number of smart devices and streamline. not add to complexity

You can do it now with Arlo, ifttt, and several brands of control switches. Load the app ifttt and look at all the options under Arlo, you might be amazed.
