I have new ARLO security lights and want help connecting them to the bridge and my system. I already have Three cameras are connected to the ARLO Base Station. I have tried to get the bridge in a suitable location. I now have it in my kitchen. The light is outside in front of the garage. About 40 feet away The light doesn't go on at all when motion is in front of it

Adding to what Streak2 mentions above, you might first take a look at your Dusk to Dawn sensor settings. It could be that the light is not turning on due to the amount of ambient light in the environment.
For more information on how the ambient light sensor works, and how you can make adjustments to it, take a look here: New Arlo Security Light Feature: Dusk to Dawn Sensor
