Why are there different user interfaces for different users?

Compare the following... the first two links are what I see; the second two links are what one of my "friends" sees.

Notice both website versions under "about" are the same! but clearly they're not!

Even if we log into the same computer using the same browser, we get different web interfaces!

Not only is my friend's interface a lot more "unfriendly", it doesn't show them the cameras I've shared.

How do we get my friend's interface (the second set of images) to look like mine (the first two images)?

Thank you!

It appears that one account has upgraded to the new UI that app version 4.x supports while the other is either using app 3.x or has an account that hasn't upgraded to the new UI. It may be that the account that was granted access doesn't work the same way as the primary account. Since this is all new, we need some time to figure out the nuances/bugs.

The one account with the nicer interface is the first links -- that's from myself and my friends who are using Android App version 4.0.2

The interface that sucks (has the "feed" link instead of the "library", can't do a 'select all' to delete multiple recordings at once, etc) and isn't able to view other cameras from my Android version is the second links. That friend is using iOS phones/tablets, and are running the latest version of the iOS app.

"or has an account that hasn't upgraded to the new UI."

The people using iOS are given no option to upgrade to a new UI. If the iOS devices are the ones with the new UI, I sure as heck hope Arlo doesn't upgrade Android users to it because it is not user friendly at all.

"Since this is all new, we need some time to figure out the nuances/bugs."

You mean the Arlo development team doesn't do User Acceptance Testing as part of the software development lifecycle to spot such bugs/nuances before releasing applications and interfaces to the general public? 🙄

Have the "shared" person/login or the main user/login (whoever needs to be updated to the latest interface) go to add a device in the and choose security system. This will then enable them to upgrade to the new interface where they can see a shared location from someone already migrated to the new interface.
