Up until recently, after I viewed all the videos from a certain camera, I could place my finger on the "day" in question, it would recognize me touching the screen and the phone would vibrate, a box would open up on that line to the left of the word "today" (line highlighted in yellow), then I could click on that box, then click on the delete button and delete all those videos at once.. just in the last few days that function has disappeared... now you have to either delete the entire library or swipe each individual video Sideways and push the delete button on that particular video.. what happened?

I am unable to highlight a complete days worth of recordings to delete on each individual camera, like in the past.

    @RegularJoe

The team is aware of this symptom and is working on a resolution. In the meantime you can use the feed > 3 Dots > Select events

section to delete the recordings. I know this isn't what you were trying to use, but this is the temporary option.

Were you just migrated from "Library" to "Feed"?

You can go to the Feed Page, and then press on the three dots in the upper right.  Choose Select Events, and you will be able to select multiple recordings.  Selecting a day will select all the recordings (from all cameras shown) for that day.  If you want to do this for only one camera, you can first select "Feed Settings" and only choose the camera of interest.

FWIW, I don't recall being able to delete multiple recordings after selecting the camera from the devices page.  I think it would be useful if they also allowed event filtering and bulk deletion from that screen.

No, I didn't just migrate to Feed....been here a long time.

No, I don't want to have to scroll through screen after screen of vids from multiple cameras in the "feed" in order to select vids from one camera.  That's not how it worked 2 weeks ago. Something changed.

And, to further clarify... when I'm trying to do this function, when I press my finger on the  day chosen... "Monday, March 17" for any camera, for instance... the system still recognizes my touch... the phone vibrates, but the little empty circle doesn't appear. Something got lost in the transfer to an updated system, or whatever you call it.

I want it back like it was less than a month ago: I want it back to where I could choose a camera, select all the vids from it for any particular day... like today, for example.... with one click, and after I've done that, while still on that particular camera... press my finger on the line indicating the day I want to delete... have it acknowledge my touch, an empty circle magically appears to the left of the word ~ today, Monday, Sunday... whichever it is....~ I select that empty circle with my finger... the circle populates with a checkmark and turns blue... I select the blue "trash can" icon... and all those videos disappear.  All other videos remain on the feed from all the other cameras.

Believe me, that is how it used to work (maybe 2 weeks ago)....

The process I'm missing on an individual camera level is the exact same process that you can use at this very moment to delete an entire day's worth of "feed"..

.....and one other thing. It has been probably a year and a half since I made a post on here asking how to delete "All" the videos from the feed using the app on the phone.

A couple of the superusers said "there's no need to delete all your videos..."there is no way to do that".... "it's not a good idea... you'll regret it, you can't get your videos back once they're erased"... "we don't recommend deleting your entire library"....   Mods didn't even want to discuss it.

My response to all that was "if I want to save a video, I'll use the "download" function and save it.. I'm not about to bog down my system with all those useless captured videos.

Well, I was of the opinion that "why would I want to keep ALL those videos in my library? Why would I want to scroll through hundreds of videos to find where the old ones stop and new, unseen vids start.

I persisted and finally FOUND the combination of keystrokes to delete my entire library.  I remember posting the steps and was greeted by a resounding silence from the mods... they STILL didn't want to acknowledge the existence of that function. Wanted to act like I was being unreasonable for not settling for the "there's no way to do that" answer.

It was in the "Essential Wireless Spotlight" forum... I should go look for it and bring it back to the top.

EDIT: I found it.... January 2023... basically the same title as this post... "Unable to mass delete videos", lol....and just like I said "oh, you shouldn't bulk delete your videos", lol.

I'm not dis-believing you.  One alternative is to use the Feed Settings to just select the one camera, and then use select events.

Not as easy as your older method, but it does eliminate the need to wade through other cameras.

Just one particular superuser - who like all folks here is free to express his view.

While I think bulk deletion is a useful feature, it is true that Arlo provides no way to recover footage folks delete unintentionally.  While a bit tangential, I'd like to see Arlo add a trash folder.

@RegularJoe Is this with Android?

Also, I will look in to this to verify any changes etc. I'll report back when I find out more.

Note: I do see the vibration occurring on Android and iOS does not vibrate..

I used to be able to hold down on the date tab for 2 seconds and it would allow me to select the bubble to delete all files for that day. Now I have to delete then one by one when I'm the device tab.

When I go to feeds tab and select events it deleted them there but they are still on my device tab for each camera.

Why are the videos still on the page when I deleted the events. And why did the option go away to select the dates while in the camera settings page. I don't want to slide left and delete then one by one.

I think that is a bug that is already on Arlo's fix list.

That is odd.  If you try to play them, does that work?

Yes I can play the individual video and can delete individual video. But I can't delete the whole day from there like I used to buy holding down on the day for 2 seconds.

I just spent too much time trying to duplicate what I think you're referring to. Are you on iOS or Android? Can you give me a full description of the process I should be trying?

I am android.   So go to the device tab then you will see your cameras.  Then click on the camera and you should see the individual video files under each date....From there, I was able to hold down on the date for 2 seconds and it would pop up a bubble/ circle where I could select that whole day and delete the videos for that day.  Now I can only swipe left and delete then individually.

. If I go to feeds and select events and delete everything. The files are still in my device camera section.

Thanks for that. I never had used that feature before so needed to be schooled.

I agree that holding the date doesn't work for me, either.  However, if I delete in Feed, they're also gone in Devices. Maybe reinstall the app?

Thank you for trying. I already tried uninstalling and re install app. Didn't work.

Will try to reinstall the app again.

That part I understand.  Bulk deletion right now can only be done from the "Feed" page.  Another user pointed that out about a week ago, and the response from Arlo was:

The team is aware of this symptom and is working on a resolution. In the meantime you can use the feed > 3 Dots > Select events section to delete the recordings. I know this isn't what you were trying to use, but this is the temporary option.

But you also said this:

I was asking you about that bug specifically.  After you delete a video from Feed, can you play it from the device tab?  Or do you get an error?
