Have I missed something, or is there no way to select which events I want to be notified about?
With the new experience all users are notified when the mode changes. Even the person changing the mode is notified on the device they used to make the change. 😳
I removed this event category from the feed, but the notifications still come.
I only want to receive notifications about detections and low batteries, like I had before.

I see there is a longstanding thread about this much disliked and unwanted feature. I will mark a link to that thread and the promise that the dev team are working on it, as a potential solution to the problem.

I don't see an option for Smart Notifications or Package Detection - perhaps because I don't have a subscription for these AI services.
However, none of the options on that KB relate to mode change notifications, which is the thing I most want to disable.

As of now there are no plans to change the Arm/Disarm notifications sent for mode changes. I will continue providing the feedback posted here to the development team for consideration but I do not have any new information to share at this time.

Thanks. It seems odd that the app allows you to be selective about what appears in your feed but not do the same for notifications. Especially odd that it notifies me of a mode change when I change the mode myself. Fingers crossed the dev team find it annoying too.

I just noticed that even when you disable mode change events on your feed, they are still included in the badge count. So the badge will indicate a number of events, but when you view the feed there are none. Quality work.

There is no way to disable this particular notification. Not without disabling All notifications. Moderators like @BrookeN keep promising to provide feedback that we are unhappy about the notification but @Arlo has no plans to fix this error. It has cost them a lot of money which is why they keep running ads for 50% off products and subscriptions. They are going broke. Take your money elsewhere!!!!! @BrookeN let them know they would make more money and get more subscribers if they would just stop being dumbasses and let the customer control ALL of the notifications. We are adults for Christ sake. Let us make adult decisions.

Can you explain why I can turn each camera off individually so that none of them will record and there is no notification to alert me that I turned them off?? This leaves the user in the exact same situation as if we used the mode change button to disable the system.
This feature is just a colossal refusal to admit failure. Your failed attempt has done nothing but piss off your customer while letting us know that you really DO NOT CARE about what we want and need from the product WE PAY FOR. YOUR ATTEMPT TO MAKE US SAFER HAS RENDERED US LESS SAFE! I JUST PROVED IT. TIME TO MAKE THE CORRECT DECISION TO LISTEN TO YOUR CUSTOMER AND FIX THIS ABOMINATION…
