I think I just had the misfortune to upgrade. I spent the evening fighting with the new experience, but I have been unable to work out how I recreate the setup I had before.
Arm Away enables all cameras and Standby disables all cameras, that is fine I need those two modes. Now for Arm Home I need the garage camera enabled at all times, and then just the downstairs house cameras enabled at night (00:00 - 06:00).
Having different zones active at different times is surely a common requirement so I must be missing something obvious.

Do you have other cameras? Or just the garage and downstairs cameras?
If you have more than one hub, can you explain what cameras are connected to each?
Once we know that we can give you more advice.

Arlo somehow missed the obvious when they limited the new UI to three modes. They have to be working on fixing that, given the forum and support feedback they are getting.

I have a camera upstairs. All on the same hub.
So the goal is:
- All cameras armed when I'm away (manual)
- Just the garage camera armed during the day when I'm at home (manual)
- All cameras armed except for the upstairs camera when I'm at home and asleep (schedule)
- All cameras in standby (disarmed) when I'm at home and accessing the garage (manual)
This was relatively simple to setup before. I suspect the three mode limitation is the crux of the problem. But I don't think I am trying to do anything particularly advanced.

Yes, the three mode limitation is the problem. You need four modes of operation to get everything you want.
What you can do is set
- "Arm Away" to arm everything
- "Arm Home" to arm downstairs and garage
- "Standby" to arm only the garage
Then go into the settings for the garage camera, and simply turn it off when you are accessing the garage. You'd of course need to remember to turn it back on again when you are done.
As far as the schedule goes, I think you are wanting to schedule switching to "Arm Home" when you are sleeping, and also schedule switching the mode to "Standby" when you are awake. Is that the case?

That would be a workaround to the limitations, but would compromise the usability. I would have to explain to my family that they should not use Arm Home when at home, but should instead use Standby, however they need to use a different method to disarm the garage camera. Not a very intuitive user experience. Seems like a huge oversight and downgrade in functionality.
