I have a Samsung S22 Ultra.

Android 14 / One UI 6.1

The Arlo app 4.4.3_28791 release date 23 Jan 25.

Currently the notification sound is the default only and cannot be changed. These sounds, especially for a night warning, are supposed to be warning us of a possible intruder. I need to be able to select a loud more “serious” sound for a night warning. Something that will wake me up. Without it, what’s the point?

Not sure where Samsung may have the exact location but the phone's settings for the app should include clicking on Notifications and then on Notifications in the new display. You should find a selection for Sound in there which allows you to set a different notification sound.

What's below the "lock screen notifications"? Have you checked through all the phone's app settings for this? It may not be where I suggested on Samsung. Be sure to click on items (on the word itself) to ensure there's no additional menu.

Mine is a bit different from yours:  Android 15 on Google Pixel.

Understand Samsung android is always so "different" but hopefully this helps somehow.

Settings >> Notifications >> App Notifications, then select Arlo Secure from the app list.  That will show something like below:

The "sound" here is where I can set the notification sound to something different ("Yahoo - Classic",  which is different from my android default sound for notification)

On a side note, above is also where I enable ARLO notifications, even when I am on DND mode (sleeping, meeting, in cinema).  See the last option that I have enabled below.

2 things:

1) the "solution" can be selected by anyone. If you do it, accidentally or not, you can also take it back (not sure if there's a timeout for this).

2) as for the sound settings  g, I'm a bit confused. Your second set of screenshots shows what I see on my Pixel. Are you also using a non-Samsung phone to get those screenshots? A quick Google search on "set app sound samsung android" shows these as possible solutions:

I'm on Android 14 with a security patch level of 1 Jan 2025.

All available updates have been done.

@alex_loo

What you see is what I would expect to see.

I should get Android 15 early 2025 (as they say) and hopefully things will be better then because with out being able to select a distinct notification that will wake me up then the is little point in and Arlo security system.

And as a side question, how in this forum do you quote someone ?

Click on the " icon in the toolbar above the textbox.

You can then edit the full quote - though the forum software can misbehave when you do that, so I often end up opening up the html and making some adjustments there.

Thanks for the update. I will pass this info to the team to see if we can provide appropriate KB update for older Android versions.
