I have the arlo essentials outdoor cameras. Have the secure plus plan. But it is not recording when detecting motion. And I can find help anywhere

First, verify that your camera is recognized as having a subscription. Then verify that your active mode is set for recordings. Perhaps the active mode accidentally got switched.

Start by trying to make a manual recording while live streaming the camera. That will confirm your subscription is ok, and also helps rule out your internet connection.
Then test the camera hardware using the motion detection test described here:
You might also want to adjust the threshold in the camera rules if you find you need to make the camera more sensitive to motion.
Also, if you aren't getting notifications either, then make sure the cameras are armed.
