Avoid this company like the plague! They are horrible, and ignore every support request. They cannot keep the cameras functioning, yet have zero help and zero concern for customers. They will take your money, continually increase coats, and completely ignore you when you have a problem. Avoid Arlo!!!

@TheseCamerasSuk are you still seeing the smart detections as blank?

They are inconsistent at best. I've given up thinking they might work as expected ever again.

I have been using them for several years. It has maybe been a decade. I also run a technology department, and I am very good with technology in general.

Arlo was good at first. They never caught every motion, and they never were perfect with smart notifications, but for several years, they were pretty good. About a year ago they began trying to force an "upgrade" every time I opened the app, touting "AI features". The subscription cost had already doubled since I started with them, and I did not want the "upgrade", so I avoided it every time they tried to push it on me. Then at some point recently an app update changed everything, and they have not functioned well since. Go look at the Arlo groups on Facebook, and you will find that pretty much every post is about how horrible they are now. They malfunction constantly, and everyone who uses them knows this. Every once in a while there will be one person who says things similar to your comment, and I suspect one of two things. Either you are paying the full "upgraded" subscription which maybe works if you pay them enough each month, or you are a fake account by Arlo trying to battle the overwhelming negative experiences most people have had. There is no other explaination.

Arlo is failing miserably, and they can't seem to get it together. That is crystal clear.

Option 3 - there is a spam link in that person's post (buried in the quote).  FWIW, I have reported it.
