Mute notifications on an iPhone

This is admittedly a minor complaint, but it bugs me every time.

On my iPhone, when I get notifications I am able to press and hold a notification to get a pop up that allows me to mute notifications for a time. This is a GREAT feature, especially when something is happening that is generating lots of notifications.

The annoyance? When you select a timeframe for muting notifications, the app responds be generating a notification telling me notifications are now muted. I literally JUST TOLD THE APP I don't want notifications right now, and it responds by sending another.
