Hello, I still have the old legacy cameras and although my app is downloaded to the latest version, I still don’t have any of the new app features/look. I know this because I have a different property set up with Arlo essential cameras and the look and features of that app are totally different. My location that has the legacy cameras - the app is so slow. When I click it it says the base is offline, then takes a while to load all the legacy cameras, then once loaded it shows they are all armed. What gives?

If you want to migrate your account to "feed" and "dashboard", then you can just go into "add device" and start to add a Pro 5s camera. That will fail, since you don't own the camera. But it will migrate your account to "Feed" before you get stuck. No idea if that will improve the performance of the app though.

I have little idea with the "old" app, but as a "feed" user for almost 6 months, I can assure that it is still having issues:

  • geofencing for "arrival" does NOT always work
  • geofencing for "leave" does NOT always work
  • if there is a 2nd (or more) user and device joining the ARLO setup via "approval" to the account of the non-own user(s) (which is the officially suggested way), geofencing will mess up (due to some devices incorrectly duplicated for geofencing purpose)

@Ashley2018 clearly already knows the limitations with Feed, as it is already being used in another account.

This worked like a charm! Thank you! After months of trying to get the new app.
