I have been wanting to ask these questions as to how to best use this community forum:

  1. In a reply, how do you include quotes from another user, or from other messages?  (I only know how to quote the message I am replying)
  2. I can only quote in a reply message from web browser on my computer (3 dots then the quote button).   I cannot do the same when replying from browser on mobile phone.  Have I missed something?
  3. The "latest" I can see can only be a topic.  Can I see the latest message, irrespective of which topic?  For example, I have this message as a reply to an old topic, but people won't know about this (except for those who have been replying the topic)

Thanks.

Alex

You can start a reply from that other post, and use the quote function.  Then copy the quote into the post you want it in.  Abandon the initial reply once you have it copied where you want it. This can be easier if you use the HTML control (copying and pasting the html).

Not sure on that, as I always use a PC browser when I engage here.

This might be what you are looking for:

It lists all the messages in the forum that you haven't read (most recent first).  This URL allows me to read all the posts.  Initially you can use the option to "Mark all posts in Community as Read" so you start with a clean slate.  (It can be hard to keep up!).

There is no way to navigate to this URL from the forum controls, so you'd need to bookmark it.

great thanks!  (btw how can I be NOT convinced you are working for ARLO indirectly 😉.  I am challenging other offical admins, who I am not going to name, that even they don't know that link 🤣)

At one point in the past (before Arlo was divested by Netgear), there was a control for that link in the Netgear community forum - which I'd bookmarked.  Later on a forum update at Netgear(+Arlo) removed the control, but the bookmark continued to work.

They split the forum back in 2018, so I just changed the bookmark from netgear.com to arlo.com.

I have no idea how long it will continue to work - I hope indefinitely, as it is the main way I follow the posts here.
