How to clear notifications

I haven’t used my cameras in over a year. I just signed in for the first time and I have notifications I can’t find. I uninstalled the app, when I reinstalled all my info was still there without even logging in  

how can I clear the notifications?

Is it safe to assume that the notifications are from the phone's top bar? Can't you swipe them away or click on them to take you to the app so they're dismissed?
