Feature Request: Account Region Change / Display

Issue:

Accounts are created and assigned a geographic region based on IP address. When the account is created outside of the US, there is no access to Arlo Secure Subscriptions. But there is Zero indication of the problem anywhere.

Account profile doesn't indicate the account "Region", and the account subscription page doesn't indicate why there is no option to purchase Arlo Secure.

 

Basing account region on IP geolocation is flawed. One could be using VPN when creating an account, traveling outside of their home country, or simply have an inaccurate geolocation.

 

The current solution provided by support is to create a new account and setup the Arlo cameras all over again.

 

Feature Request:

  • Ability to change the "Region" of an existing account, in order to access Arlo Secure Subscriptions. It's would be ok if this needs to be limited by Billing  Address / Credit Card Issue issue country etc. 
  • Alternatively, allow customer support to verify and update a customer's account region.
  • Or allow users to select their account region during account creation.
  • At the very least show users what region the account will be created in.
