I am here to basically vent. I have had the Arlo Pro 2 system for a few years. I was very happy and content to be under the old free 7 day rolling cloud storage. I did not need anything more or sophisticated than that. Now today, all my devices with ArloSecure app have been updated to the new version(without my prior knowledge), and now I must enroll in a plan after a 30 day trial. I am so pissed I don't even know what to say.

Your 7-day free storage will continue after the trial expires, so you will not have get a paid subscription.

We will see. Right now my account clearly states I have free trial until 6/25.

Of course they'd rather you subscribe.  But the trial is just an offer.  Arlo isn't the only company that does this.  I use the free MalwareBytes app on a PC, and they regularly give me a trial subscription in hopes that I will decide to pay for it when the trial ends.

If something goes wrong on 6/26, then post back.

Thank you. I will have to figure out how to set my 4 cameras to come on at sunset and turn off at sunrise. Seems pretty straight forward. If not I'll post for help. thanks again.

When you loose your feed at the end of the trial you will loose the 30day cloud storage and the extra cloud services if you had choose to use them during the trial.

Users here have previously reported a loss of their 7days free cloud storage when the 30/60 day trial ends.

You May have to remove the affected Cameras from your account and add them back again to restore the original bundled 7days free arlo cloud storage service again.

I believe that doing the above workaround can result in the inability to readd the device’s due to a bug in the arlo app that my result in loss of the camera until arlo fixes the bug.

good luck.
