Hi, I recently received an Arlo system from my dad that includes a VMB4000 base station and two cameras. The previous account is no longer accessible.

The base station powers on normally and connects to my router (Internet LED is solid green), but the Arlo app never discovers it during setup.

Is it possible for support to release the serial number so I can add it to my account? I can provide the serial number and a photo of the label if needed. This base station also have 5 leds, and the sticker says it’s a VMB3000 but my router says the device name is VMB4000

Thanks

It has to be removed from the previous owner.

Is there any other way? I got it second hand. Also, if it changes anything, it has the Netgear logo on the back

I apologize there is no other way to get it working. The previous owner must remove it from their account.

I have the Arlo Pro VMB 40000 that will not connect to the internet after installing the app and going through the steps.

Best to start your own discussion thread.

Is this

  1. a new base?
  2. a used base that was just purchased?
  3. a base that was previously installed to your account?
