I need help configuring the new Modes/Automations. I've had my Arlo system working perfectly for several years. But this new update deleted all my settings and I don't know how to get it back.

I want what I feel like is a pretty standard model.

All record and notify when nobody is home, and every night from Midnight to 7am.

Doorbell always record only notify if nobody is home.

All others disarm when anyone is home.

I setup my modes:
- Arm Home: Doorbell record without notify
- Arm Away: All devices record with notify
- Standby: Nothing configured (don't plan on using)

I created these automations:
- Home Night: 12:00AM Everyday, Set to Arm Away
- Home Daytime: 7:00AM Everyday, Set to Arm Home
- Empty House: Everyone Leaves, Set to Arm Away
- Somebody Home: Anyone Arrives, Set to Arm Home

Where I'm stuck is the occasion when it becomes 7:00AM, and we are on vacation, nobody is home. I believe it will change to "Arm Home". Which means I will not be secure.

Any ideas how to do this? This new system is soooooo much more complicated than the original system.

PS: I'm a product guy for SaaS software... I can't believe Arlo made this big of a change without extensive customer testing, ability for users to opt-in and roll-back, and importing old settings to the new system. Those are table-stakes.

I have a similar setup and your's looks similar to mine. I don't think you've done anything wrong since I have exactly the same issue with being away from home (all phones used for geofencing are away) and the schedule still taking precedence over GF, forcing me to manually change the mode every morning. I've tried various fixes suggested by others such as adding actions to disable schedules (although I must admit that checking just now I found an error in my current setup). Since I have now made a change, try this:

In your Empty House GF automation, add 2 actions. For each, choose Enable/Disable an Automation. Select Home Night and disable it. Do the same for Home Daytime. See if that works for you.
