Just installed new security system, the cameras are only detecting motion when it’s set to armed away. Nothing is going off when set to arm home or standby. Is there a way to change the settings? Can’t seem

to find any information

If you've selected Modes (it will be underlined and is the default) there is no + to click - it's only there for Automations. Once in Modes, click the 3 dot menu at the top right and a gear appears on each mode. Click the gear for the appropriate mode and you can then edit existing rules or add new rules.

Go to Routines, click on a routine and I think a gear icon shows (I don't have the new UI set up yet so working off memory). If that doesn't work, click on the menu icon (3 dots?) upper right. Edit the routine as you need.

This is gonna be a slow process getting everything moved over from one UI to another so bear with us all. Be sure to post your process once figured out so others can follow along.

Just on phone support, they say to get what I want- recording/notifications that it has to be set to Arm Away. They tried creating automations but every did nothing- still no recordings or notifications on standby.

It's new to them too.

Go to "routines" and select "modes".  Select the three dots at the top right, and you will see settings wheels for Arm Away, Arm Home, and Standby.  Click on any of those wheels, and you can add a rule for each camera to that mode that enables recordings and notifications for said camera.

That’s the thing- I tried that- still didn’t work. I set up notifications, recordings, all days, starting at multiple times, and still nothing.

Your screen shot is showing the automations screen, not modes.

Did you go in and edit the three modes?

How do you edit the modes? When I hit the + on the modes screen and add something it creates an automation.

I just want it to record on any mode when motion is detected. Not at set times or set modes or anything.

I am having this same problem.  I removed the security system from my app and a, thinking of returning the system to Arlo.  What a waste of almost $500!

Have you read this thread? The answer to editing the modes in the new UI is mentioned in detail above.

I have the same problem. I got the security system just for the sensors and now my entire Arlo collection of ten cameras is not recording. I'm having huge regrets.

Found out- I had to do this on Wife’s phone- mine didn’t have correct access.
