Arlo VMB4540r3 hub created its own Wi-Fi network... stepping on my 2.4 GHz one!

I wanted local storage, so I bought a hub (VMB4540r3). I've attached 3 Pro 5s cameras to the hub. I have my 2.4 network on the quietest channel on purpose. Now the hub has become an access point and is stepping on my existing 2.4 GHz network channel.

From what I can see, none of the cameras are using my Wi-Fi network (don't see any of the camera's MAC addresses on my network/broadcast domain).

Since I have powerline network adapters at both ends of my house expanding my own Wi-Fi network(s), I'd prefer the cameras to use those as I keep getting "poor signal" alerts if try to use an Arlo camera pretty far from the Arlo hub.

Does anyone know if you can still get local storage if the cameras are connected to my own Wi-Fi ?

You cannot.

Correct. It is creating a closed wifi network for the cameras.  Although that network does use the same channel, the net effect on network performance is usually slight (if any).   Note the overall bandwidth use is essentially the same as if the cameras were connected to your home wifi system.

You might need a second hub then.
