Looking at buying a second Arlo hub and set of cameras for a second home.

We currently have 4 cameras and a smart hub in my app and would add a second hub and 4 cameras totalling 2 hubs and 8 cameras. No need to stream more than one or two at once.

Sounds like the app will only support 5 cameras without a plan, can someone confirm and point me in the direction of the plan that would be required (help docs say premiere plan but that seems to be old or hard to find?).

Thanks - Simon

If you mean the free 7-day cloud storage, then that is only available with old camera.  Starting with the Ultra (in 2018), all newer cameras need a subscription to get cloud storage.

Where are you looking?  The current subscriptions are Arlo Secure / Secure Plus.  https://kb.arlo.com/88/What-are-the-available-Arlo-subscription-plans-and-how-much-cloud-recording-i...

So to confirm I can have two hubs, 8 cameras in the app with no cloud storage and no monthly fee applies?

Correct.  Also no smart notifications or cloud activity ones.
