I recently upgraded the arlo app to version 5.2.2 (8688) due to purchase of Pro 5 cameras. I am having difficulty setting a schedule for a camera. I would like to have all cameras Armed under “Arm Away” and have a camera “Disarmed “when we get home, lets say at 5:30 pm then “Armed” at 11:00 pm while still being set to “Armed Away” . I was able to do this option with previous version. This update seems pretty complicated. I have followed the latest instructions but no luck. Please advise. Thanks

No geofence. With this new update, I have it armed and when my family gets home before I do, I toggle to Standby to stop the notifications. With previous app, I was able to set the 1 camera to disarm at 5:00pm and then arm at night time . Now I have to be constantly switching between Arm away Arm home and standby. For some reason I can’t get 1 camera to follow a schedule, it’s just stays armed all the time. Also with this new update I get DOUBLE notifications for all cameras. Please advise. Thanks
Ok. Keep in mind that the three modes control all the cameras together. If a mode does not include a rule for a camera, then that camera is disarmed when that mode is active.
So you first need to set up the modes. One path is to set it up like this:
- "Arm Away" to arm all cameras (likely already set up this way)
- "Arm Home" to arm all cameras EXCEPT the one you want disarmed
- "Standby" to disarm all cameras (likely already does this).
Then create two schedule automations:
- One to switch to "Arm Home" at 5:30 pm
- A second to switch to "Arm Away" at 11:00 pm
The complexity here is that you will need to manually disable the automations when you want to suspend the schedule (say when you go on a trip).
If you don't actually need to disarm all cameras (very often anyway), then you can alternatively set it up this way:
- "Arm Away" to arm all cameras (likely already set up this way)
- "Arm Home" to also arm all cameras
- "Standby" to arm all cameras EXCEPT the one you want disarmed
Then create two schedule automations:
- One to switch to "Standby" at 5:30 pm
- A second to switch to "Arm Home" at 11:00 pm
You'd set these automations up so they are only enabled when the system is in "Arm Home" or "Arm Away".
Then when you switch to "Arm Away" the system will stay fully armed until you change the mode back to either "Arm Home" or "Standby".
If you do want to disarm cameras with this second setup, the way to do that is to go into the video settings and just turn the camera off. It will stay off until you turn it back on again.

Were you using geofencing before? Or were you manually switching modes when you arrive and left?
