I have just received yet another notification of a proposed 2026 Arlo Secure Plan price increase (UK) and would be interested to hear other peoples thoughts on this. Considering the ongoing issues I am still having with my camera (Pro5s), and the poor customer service response from Arlo Europe I really cannot see how they can justify this increase?

What's the thoughts on the new pricing for 2026? Got my renewal noticed over the weekend and saw more than double the price from last year. I'm thinking it's might be time to look elsewhere.
Has anyone gone to a non-subscription based service. Something that records to an on premise recording device instead of the cloud maybe? What about other cloud based subscribers?

There was a price increase January of 2025. I see that you paid 215.88, that is still the current price for renewal.

I'm think I'm seeing another 11.1% increase (I renew in Feb) up to about $20/mo from $18/mo prior. Their site is hard to navigate so never quite sure - would much prefer an invoice so I don't have to hunt. Getting hard to justify double-digit % increases every single year. The extra cloud storage is pretty useless to me.
But last year they sent me info on renewal late December, then jacked up the rates immensely without notice (until my card was billed in Feb, I noticed in March). I think that was an 40% increase above the 15% or so I was expecting from December review. They claimed they sent e-mail notification, but they did not - searched Inbox, Junk, Spam, etc.
So crossing my fingers, hoping there won't be another massive increase snuck in before Feb.

Looks like you renewed right before the massive increase in January 2025? Sounds like your renewal reminder came about a month earlier than mine does. So you got an extra year at the old rates.

Thank you for your mail!
I don't think it's okay to increase the prices from €158.5 to €219.99 and at the same time reduce the recording time from 60 days to 14 days
(Which alone is a hidden price increase)
I've certainly had 20-30 cameras from Arlo in this time, (we're not even talking about the quality)
This price increase is not justified, and I will therefore cancel my subscription with you promptly
diese Preiserhöhung ist nicht gerechtfertigt, und ich werde daher mein Abo zeitnah bei ihnen kündigen

Im here looking for others responses to this. I live in Norway and use the doorbell camera, payed 690NOK(~58€) yearly until now and got notified it would be raised to 1155NOK(~98€) from february. This is an 67% raise and is way to much!! I cant afford this and would have to cancel the sub and sell the camera and try to find something else.

Cant find a reason they should do this either, maybe the cameras have recieved major updates or something but my doorbell and software is the exact same as it has been for the last year and a half. Thinking Im not the only one who finds this as a dealbreaker.

How does Arlo justify the 60% increase in the cost of plans, especially without warning ?

£54.90 increased to £87.99 for an annual camera subscription, completely unjustifiable and is nothing but pure greed…!

Hallo
MfG

Barely entered 2026 - and Arlo ONCE AGAIN decides to increase their subscription.
Ridiculous excuses for the 9% increase bla bla bla ... AI, bla bla bla storage ... bla bla Service.
A BIG WARNING to everyone "dont buy into Arlo", get away while you can and never buy they their constant increasingly eco system. The worst thing I've ever done in the world of tech, was buying Arlo equipment - never again.

Yeah, this is ridiculous. I bought my camera in 2021 and it cost £2.50/month - now it's going up to £7.99. Cancelled my subscription as soon as I got the email - I'd encourage others to do the same. Wouldn't surprise me if there's some kind of collective action in the near future, since the hardware isn't cheap in the first place and is close to useless without the subscription.

Too often, price increases without any concrete benefits. If the cost of the video cameras exceeds the potential damage caused by a break-in, it doesn't make sense.

Cancelled my account!
I just read the email this morning notifying about price increase to around £20 per month. £16 a month was already silly as there are numerous systems out there with zero subscription and exactly the same features (cloud recording, 4k, zoom etc etc). I think people only tolerate Arlo charging a subscription fee because by the time they set everything up and then realise you have to pay for the system to actually do anything.. it seems easier to pay rather than go find another non greedy company/products.
But.. the increase pushed me over.. just cancelled and will be selling my Arlo setup and never using them again. If everyone did this, that's the only way they'd change.. but I understand why most people will just keep paying whatever the price.

I am also shocked by this. £54.90 to £87.99 is a 60% price increase... with no explanation or justification. My subscription has just renewed at the old price but I will be reassessing my options before it renews again.

I also received the new price of 88 euro per year. I cancelled and received an offer of 10% discount on extending the annual subscription for the old price.
If the price increase is not withdrawn then December 28th 2026 will be my last day of being a consumer of Arlo Europe:(

Jan 2022 I paid 9.99 a month.
Jan 2023 Annual pay began at 118.91.
Jan 2024 129.99.
Jan 2025 138.62.
Just alerted today new annual price 17.99 a month and 215.68 Annually. In past couple years paying annual got a discount. Apparently that is history. I have been an ARLO shareholder since IPO split from Netgear around 2018. I have realized a gain of $389, 032.34 (thanks Quicken!) in that time and still hold substantial amount of shares. Since Halloween the company has lost nearly a quarter of their market cap...was nearly 2 Billion now about 1.5B. Stock price has plummeted from nearly 20 to around 13 today in 2 months.
Matt McRae CEO has sold MILLIONS of dollars of performance based shares (FREE ONES) regularly for years. I obviously owe ARLO alot, but there were years this stock did nothing but go down. I do not like getting hosed on a huge price increase in 1 year. As a shareholder I am reading prior comments and this does not look good for ARLO. Will be looking at other options (and to liquidate ARLO shares) Reading prior posts will look at EUFY i suppose.

I have was informed of a 45% increase recently and have decided to cancel my subscription.
I can’t see how this increase is justified. It’s existing technology and should in effect become cheaper.
This reeks of mismanagement and desperation..

@BrookeN are you able to provide any context to this please, because many of us are seeing this price rise as unacceptably high, considering the price rise that was imposed last year as well, and given the ongoing issues some of us are facing with the cameras?
