I have no idea what sort of Arlo cameras I have… my cameras have been in storage for a while, 2 are not functional, one is detecting flat batteries with new batteries in it, and the other 2 seem ready to go, but nothing is showing up in this app. I've just subscribed, which is new to me, I didn't need that before, but that's fine if I can actually use my devices... please help me set up my 2/5 working cameras

There are a couple of legacy cameras that fit your description. The original wireless camera uses 4 CR123 batteries while the Pro and Pro 2 cameras can be discerned by removing the battery and looking for the label that has VMCxxxx.

No, I think I have the first one… they were working well last year, but now the ap just says “offline” for 2 of them, and one says “change/charge batteries” even tho the batteries are brand new. 2 of them are unserviceable, but I was really hoping to still be able to use 3 of them.

For the original wireless cameras, a common issue is pressing the batteries down into their slots. Instead of doing that, just place them in the slots and let the door push them down. The 4 batteries are actually used as sets of 2 - front and back. If one set isn't making contact, the other will be used (the camera automatically switches between the sets to maximize battery life) which could potentially cause your issue.

Try redoing the batteries in all cameras to see if that helps.

I see three Arlo Gen 3 cameras on the account that say the battery is critical. Here is more information regarding the batteries:
