how to stop motion sensor from triggering when lights turn on/off

i have my arlo configured to sense motion on my porch, and my smartthings home automation will turn the porch lights on.  After 5 minutes the lights will turn off, however, that will trigger the motion sensor and then causes lights to turn back on.  This will repeat itself all night.

is there any way to not have a porch light turn trigger motion sensor in the Arlo?  

I've tried to create a zone that does not include the porch light directly, but that doesn't work.

If the sensitivity setting in your modes/rules doesn't help enough, a possibility would be to set the light to turn off sooner (If possible) so it does so within the period of time the recording is made.
