Due to having a new wifi connection, I have been trying to re-activate our single Arlo Q camera but it only works "live" now. While re-setting it up, it stated "A paid subscription is required to activate the device." We ignored this and now can only see live footage. Is that because we now have to get the minimum monthly subscription (about $5 NZ)? We need to be able to go back over footage like we used to, so does that mean we need to choose a monthly subscription.

You shouldn't need a subscription, so I don't know why you got that message, or have lost the 7-day recordings.
