Some Videos Will Not Play On My Arlo Q

Some of the videos recorded are not available for playing.  When I click play, it says 'loading...' but never starts.  Other recordings from the same day are available.  This is occuring on a Samsung S8, and through chrome on a chromebook.

Just for fun, try Fire Fox on the chromebook... make sure flash is enabled

Have you tried downloading both the good and bad videos for testing? Is there a file size difference of note? Do they both play when local?

Downloading did get the video to play, but the audio would not (bad recording only). Audio is what triggered the recording, so not having the sound is the main issue. The file size was a substantial difference, 704 kB (good) vs 128 kB (bad).

I suspect that the different file size says it all - the file is goobered. The no audio is a second clue. The fact that the video is incomplete may well be the reason it doesn't play - data is missing.

 

I woulddo 2 things - 1) donate all of the problem videos and 2) open a case with support here to raise awareness.
